Q: How do I adjust the Slip Tube in the front of the chassis?
A: With the driver sitting in the car, there should be a 1/4” clearance between the nose cut outs on the body and the stream-line bi-pod tubes on the chassis. You can adjust this by tightening and loosening the 1/2-20 nut on the front of the slip tube in the nose of the chassis. If you have a 2009 or newer chassis with a snubber it should be completely backed off while adjusting the slip tube.

A: With the body buttoned on the chassis and the plates rotated in the direction you prefer, use a hand drill with a 1/8” drill bit, spot drill all of the holes. Remove the body from the car, finish drilling through the holes and rivet on the plates. Only use the rivets supplied by HSD or aluminum rivets with aluminum mandrils. Have someone hold a body dolly or a block of steel against the head of each rivet and tap the inside of the rivet flat.
