Dear Valued HSD Customers,

I would like to begin by thanking you for your patience concerning NHRA's recent rule changes. We at Half Scale, after much conversation with NHRA, have determined the proper action to be taken by our customers to ensure the compliance of their cars with the new rules. Every HSD car can be modified to satisfy the new requirements with a simple kit that requires no cutting and minimal tig welding. These kits can be requested from HSD and shipped immediately. Any customer with a 2005 car (received at or after the 2004 Eastern Conference Finals) can request a kit at no charge. Customers with 2004 cars or older will be able to purchase these kits for $30. This includes standard ground shipping. It is imperative that the uprights are installed by an experienced tig welder who is skilled in welding light tubing.

I would like to take this opportunity to explain the rule change. First, the reason that NHRA re-evaluated their chassis rules had nothing to do with a Half Scale car. We pride ourselves in building cars that not only perform well, but ensure the utmost safety for all of our drivers. However, the new rule, while not targeting Half Scale cars, does affect them.
